I created Lemanknit at the end of 2021 while I was on a professional break. I really like to crochet and like everyone else I was surfing on social networks. The algorithm of my preferences has populated my applications with crochet creations, each one more beautiful than the other. It made me want to do the same.
So without wasting more time, I looked for a name, opened an Insta account and the Lemanknit adventure began.
Who is behind Lemanknit?
I have already published a lot of content on social networks and a little on the site but I think I never really introduced myself. My name is Fanny, I am 35 years old, I have a husband and two children! I have been living in Switzerland for almost three years and I have lived in Paris for more than 30 years. But I don't miss Paris.
I like my new quiet life in a human scaled city where you can take the time to live and enjoy.
With less stress and more time for me, I was able to realize how much I love crocheting and the hours I spend making amigurumis: small crocheted objects.
Share my passion
Sharing my passion for crochet is Lemanknit's number one goal. Crocheting isn't just a grandma's thing. Crochet can be modern and trendy. Our grandmothers invented a very elegant mathematics with the arts of yarn. I admire the logic behind each row.
The Store and custom orders allow me to finance yarn, accessories, the hosting of the site, … I do not necessarily have the will to monetize the content that I produce by adding ads on the site. I like that the contents remain readable. Ads are so invasive on blogs these days…
