Opuntia microdasys

Description

Opuntia microdasys is entirely crocheted by hand. The cactus is constructed with a large main branch on which are embroidered three other branches of smaller dimensions and two yellow and white flowers. Small wires inside the work allow it to be held in place.

The cactus is decorated with small hand-embroidered yellow beads.

The pot is crocheted with gardener's jute yarn to give a “basket” effect to the pot. I put a recycled glass yogurt pot inside. The cactus is thus completely stable once placed on a desk or shelf.

All the large cacti that I offer for sale are unique pieces.

* Cacti of this type are fragile pieces. These are decorative items and are not suitable for children (except very well-behaved children who love decoration!).
